Welcome to the Power User Program

Groups Power Users get access to exclusive benefits. It's our way of letting you know we appreciate all the hard work you put into your Yahoo! Groups.

What is the Power User program?

The Groups Power User Program is a pilot program to reward the owners and moderators of some of our top Groups. As one of the few in the Groups Power User Program, you can take advantage of new services. It’s our way of saying thanks!

What benefits do Power Users receive?

  • 24-7 live support online. Get faster answers with real-time support from our customer care team.
  • Look for more to come soon.

How do I access the live support online?

It’s easy! Once you’re a Power User, Just Click on this link: Contact Groups Customer Care. On the Contact Us page you’ll see Chat with us live now, as well as other ways of resolving your issue via email.

At any time you can also click Help in the upper-right corner of any Yahoo! Groups page. Once there, click the Contact Us tab along the top of the page.

How do I know if I'm a Power User?

You’ll get an email welcoming you to the program! If you didn’t get this email and you’d like to check to see if you’re in the program, click the Contact Us tab at the top of any Yahoo! Groups Help page, and look for Chat with us live now. If you see the link, Congratulations! — you’re a Power User. If you don’t see it, you’re not currently in the program

How do users qualify for the program?

Groups Power Users are the owners and moderators of the top 2% of Yahoo! Groups. The top 2% was determined by looking at factors like the number of members in a group, the number of monthly posts – i.e., how active a group is – along with how long the group has been in existence.

If you’re not currently in the Power User Program, just keep using your Group and at some point in the future we hope to be able to expand the program to include more great groups.

Can Power User status expire?

The Power User program is a pilot program. Yahoo! may discontinue the program - or one's status as a Power User - at any time and without notice. Also, Power User status ends when you’re no longer the owner or moderator of a Power Group.
